SNSF's pilot programme for researchers in Eastern Europe

The Swiss National Science Foundation's pilot programme PROMYS is funding seven young researchers in Eastern Europe.

Our project's principal investigator, Danijela Dolenec, was able to set up her own research group focusing on how protest politics advances democracy thanks to the SNSF.

On the SNSF's website, Danijela had to say this about the project:

Her main focus are democratic protest movements in European cities. "In this context, we are particularly interested in the instruments of direct democracy," she says. And adds, laughing: "So Switzerland is at the same time one of our research topics."
